This Privacy Policy explains how Growvora ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website growvora.co.za and our Business Growth Assessment (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA").

Who is responsible for your information

The responsible party for the purposes of POPIA is Growvora, an owner-operated business in South Africa. As an owner-operated business, the owner of Growvora acts as the Information Officer and can be reached at the address below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, including:

  • Account information: name, email address, password.
  • Business information you submit through the assessment (industry, staff count, revenue estimates, operational details).
  • Contact details you choose to share so we can follow up on your results.
  • Any notes, messages, or requests you send us.

We also automatically collect limited technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, used to secure and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, personalise, and improve the Growth Assessment.
  • Generate your Growth Score, report, and recommendations.
  • Contact you about your results, book strategy calls, and send account-related emails.
  • Analyse aggregated usage to improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent (given when you create an account and submit the assessment), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and to perform our contract with you.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

  • Trusted service providers who host our infrastructure and send our transactional emails, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and assessment data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion at any time by emailing team.growvora@gmail.com.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

7. Your Rights (POPIA)

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage. Analytics only loads after you explicitly accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent. IP addresses are anonymised. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will show the banner again.

9. Automated Analysis and AI

Your Growth Score and category breakdown are calculated by a deterministic rule-based engine from the answers you provide. In addition, parts of your written report — such as the executive summary and narrative recommendations — are generated with the assistance of third-party large language models. Where this happens, your assessment answers and business details are transmitted to that provider solely to generate your report. They are not used to train third-party models.

These outputs are advisory and are intended to be reviewed with you in context. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made solely by automated means, and you may ask us to review any output manually.

10. Cross-Border Transfers

Our hosting, database, email and AI providers may process data on servers outside South Africa. Where information is transferred across borders, we only use providers that are subject to laws or binding agreements that uphold principles of lawful processing substantially similar to POPIA.

11. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
